For exceptionally wear-resistant hardfacing at elevated operating temperatures

This composite wear plate comprises a base plate which has been overlaid, using a special metal arc welding process, with our highly abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant VAUTID 145 hardfacing welding consumable.

VAUTID 145 incorporates chrome carbide in a heat-stable matrix, reinforced by a combination of highly effective tungsten, niobium and vanadium carbides. This enables the product to achieve exceptional service life under abrasive wear at high temperatures.

Recommended applications:

• Components that are exposed to temperatures of up to 750°C.
• To protect surfaces that are subjected to very high levels of abrasive wear, e.g. sinter crushers, glass recycling equipment, and shovels and scraper bars on surface mining equipment.
• Components that are subjected to severe abrasion at elevated temperatures, such as hot gas ventilation fans, hot dust ducts, and blast furnace bell liners.
